Opioid Use Disorder Treatment and Recovery

Welcome To New Horizons Treatment Center
a SAMHSA licensed Medication for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD)Treatment Program

MOUD is a comprehensive treatment program that encompasses Medical Care, Medication, Behavioral Health Counseling, Recovery Support and Harm Reduction.

“ We treat the whole person, with dignity and respect”

FDA (U.S. Food and Drug Administration)–approved medications to treat Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) are effective and save lives. Long-term retention on medication for OUD is associated with improved outcomes.

Methadone, buprenorphine, and extended-release naltrexone are the three medications currently approved by the FDA for treating opioid use disorder (OUD), by reducing the negative effects of withdrawal and cravings without producing the euphoria that the original drug of abuse caused.

Recovery from addiction CAN and DOES happen!

Drug dependency, like any other addiction, (smoking, overeating, overspending, etc.) is a struggle. Patients at New Horizons Treatment Center have an advantage. Medication-Assisted Recovery for Opioid Use Disorder provides the opioid craver with individualized health care and medically prescribed methadone or suboxone to reduce opiate cravings, relieve withdrawal symptoms, and bring about a biochemical balance in the body.

Addiction to opiates is a brain disruption

characterized by intense, and at times, uncontrollable drug cravings, compulsive drug seeking and use. Despite devastating consequences, addiction disrupts many aspects of an individual’s life. On the other hand, New Horizons Treatment Center treats opiate dependent patients in an individualized manner, enabling each patient to achieve productive functioning in the family, at work, and in society.
